What makes this different from shampoo?
Shampoo is formulated for hair — conditioning polymers, detangling, shine agents for strands you may not have. Lucky 8 Ball is formulated for scalp skin: mild cleansing, skin-matched pH, and light enzymatic exfoliation. Different job, different chemistry.
What does the papain actually do?
Papain is an enzyme derived from papaya. It gently breaks down the dead surface skin cells and buildup that cause flaking and dullness — a chemical exfoliant that works without gritty scrub particles or strong acids.
Can I use it on my face or body?
It's formulated and tested as a head wash. Plenty of guys let the lather ride down on the way to the drain, but for dedicated face and body care, use products built for those jobs.
Is it tested on animals?
No. It's tested on bald guys in Brooklyn, who volunteered enthusiastically.
How long does a bottle last?
Around two months of daily use for most people. A little goes a long way — you're washing a scalp, not a mane.
